What we arrange, from where you sit
Interior designers and architects
The room is finished, and the one thing it needs can't be found in a catalogue.
We source original work from Cornwall's artists and makers to your brief, and arrange private studio visits so your client meets the person behind the piece. The story arrives with the work.
What we'd ask you for: The project, the brief and budget, and whether your client would visit Cornwall.
How it's arranged: A sourcing fee for each project, agreed before any work begins.
Hotel and commercial art consultants
Large schemes drift towards the same prints, from the same suppliers, in every city.
Original Cornish work for hotels, restaurants and commercial interiors, sourced, shortlisted and commissioned, with the provenance guests will ask about.
What we'd ask you for: The scheme, the number of spaces, and your timescale.
How it's arranged: A project fee, scoped to the scheme.
Estate agents
You hand over the keys and the relationship quietly ends.
A day with local makers, given in your name on completion. It gets remembered, and remembered as yours, while the buyer starts to feel they belong here.
What we'd ask you for: The areas you cover, and roughly how many completions you handle in a year.
How it's arranged: A fixed fee for each client, invoiced to you.
Hotels and holiday-let operators
It rains, and you are back to recommending the same three pubs.
Curated days with working artists and makers, offered to your guests. They work indoors, in February, and sound nothing like the rest of the welcome folder.
What we'd ask you for: Where your properties are, and how many guests you welcome in a season.
How it's arranged: Per booking, or as a seasonal programme for your guests.
Galleries
Most people through the door are killing an hour before lunch.
Our guests have built a whole day around looking at work, and arrive wanting to know why it was made.
What we'd ask you for: What you have on, when, and whether you can host a small private group.
How it's arranged: Included within planned days. No fee either way.
Art agents and representatives
On a screen, the work is a thumbnail and the price arrives first.
In a studio the price arrives last, after the material, the process, and the reason the work exists at all.
What we'd ask you for: Who you represent, and which of them have a space someone could visit.
How it's arranged: Referral terms agreed individually.
Artists and makers
Most makers never see inside another maker's studio.
Time with makers working in other materials, a potter with a metalworker, a painter with a weaver, and a technique carried back to your own bench.
What we'd ask you for: What you make, and what you would most like to learn.
How it's arranged: Open to working artists and makers across Cornwall.
