Our relationship with artificial intelligence
Acceptance, not fear or surrender
We believe artificial intelligence is not a passing tool but a genuine inflection point in human history — arguably the most significant since electricity. It is here, it is not going away, and pretending otherwise serves no one.
DoAnythingNow exists because we chose, early and deliberately, to meet that fact with acceptance rather than fear. It is the next stage of our evolution, and our task is not to resist it or to surrender to it, but to work alongside it in symbiosis.

The shape of that symbiosis
Every venture here follows the same principle
A crutch, not a replacement
It extends what a person can do; it does not decide what should be done. The mechanical parts of work — searching, retrieving, drafting, structuring — move faster, so the human parts can happen more, not less.
More capability, more oversight
The more capable the technology, the more human oversight a serious business needs, not less. We check the work at every stage — not out of distrust, but because that is the whole point of the arrangement.
Agency stays with us
We do not try to control it, and we do not let it control us. Judgement, care and accountability stay with the people who answer for the result.
Work worth having
We believe this arrangement is good for people beyond DoAnythingNow itself. Every technology this significant destroys some work and creates other work; ours is to make sure what it creates is worth having — roles built around quality, meaning and care, rather than repetitive labour.
We build with conviction, not naivety, that done well and done together, this doesn't just save time and money — it can genuinely improve how well people understand and look after the things they're responsible for.

HeritageAI
HeritageAI applies the same belief to a single, specific problem: the built environment, and the historic buildings within it. DoAnythingNow provides the structure, the operating principles and the why; HeritageAI is where those principles meet listed-building consent, conservation practice, and the people trying to make good decisions about the buildings in their care.
Every HeritageAI report is produced the same way on purpose — the machine doing the searching and the drafting, a person checking the source, the summary and the final word. That is what this relationship actually means in practice, not just in principle.
